A 'site' to see, for you...and me

Anyways, I've been wanting to start a blog/website for quite some time now, but I was always either too busy, too lazy, or too confused to start. I told myself that the blog would be my summer project.

So, here I am! It's Summer '11!

My name is Denise, and I decided to 'rebel' from chemically relaxed hair and grow naturally in August 2010. My last relaxer was in January 2010. The decision to do so was based upon the desire to be free from the dependence of a caustic and damaging relaxer, free from the dependence of weave, and to set an example of self-acceptance to my future children. The billions of other reasons why I love my natural hair will be explored in my future posts, so get ready :)


This site is for anyone and everyone. Expect to find posts mostly about about DIY Hair Care, but posts about Skin Care, Beauty Tips, Fitness, Nutrition, and maybe even a little Fashion will be sprinkled in. My goals are to to inspire, share what I've learned, help others, and keep track of my growth... But my main goal is to be a part of the many who are showing the world that "nappy", "kinky", "afro", "African-American" hair can be long, healthy, and beautiful.  Click the tab up top to see the blog.
